16 Weeks

Well, I've been pregnant for four months and it feels like it's been forever! I'm not even half-way there. :) I guess I can be a little impatient. My belly has expanded beyond my normal pant size, though, I'm not noticeably pregnant. Kind-of awkward. I'm looking forward to feeling the baby move soon, and getting a larger tummy. The biggest change that I'm noticing lately is my increasing appetite. Yay that the holidays are here, bring the food on, I say. But it's just weird. Me, a person who usually has a cup of coffee for lunch and no snacks otherwise between breakfast and dinner, now I have to eat like every two hours. Craziness. It's exciting and strange all at the same time.

Holiday blessings

God is so good. He is all sufficient and provides bountifully for me. I am grateful. This is my first official week off of School, and Yes, I have done some baking and have some to do. One wonderful, beautiful blessing of the holidays is baking! Jason and I have also spent some quality time walking and talking. I am not as speedy a walker now that I have a little baby in there, and I get hungry and have to stop for a snack, but it has been a beautiful time of getting back in touch with J. and with Jesus. It's pretty humbling to step back, take a deep breath and evaluate myself through the lens of the all-sufficient savior. Usually I keep myself too busy to worry about these things, but during quiet times, I stop and realize that He is all powerful, all knowing, and yet, I am still here. It's pretty amazing!

Last week of School!

I am so excited that this is the last official week of classes. Monday is a review day and then next week is Finals. WHoo hoo! Then it will be the holidays! I can't wait. Of course, I've already baked a little. Couldn't wait for school to finish before making my first batch of fudge and some gingersnaps. Looking forward to the week before Christmas when Baking will not inspire guilt or keep me from my studies, but will simply be my day's activity. I love Christmastime!
