St. Patrick's Day in D.C.
This weekend Jason and I travelled south to our nation's capitol to spend a few days with mom and dad and Ash. It was not the best weekend for weather -It rained and hailed and snowed- but this did not dampen our enthusiasm to see the sights. Mom and Ash took us to the National Cathedral, on Friday, which was followed by an extensive tour of the Pentagon by our very handsome tour guide who tried his best to walk backwards down all corridors and give us all of the inside details:) Friday night we all stayed up until midnight to watch Kentucky's victory over Vanderbilt in the NCAA tournament. Go Big Blue!
Saturday began with a trip to the top of the Washington monument, don't worry, we took the elevators! Then we all went to the Builder's Museum. Mom and Dad completed their day in D.C. by attending the Navy-Marine Corps ball, and Jason, Ash and I played Risk while digesting a spicy mexican dinner.
Sunday we said the dreaded goodbyes and drove home, only to watch Kentucky get whalloped by Kansas shortly upon our arrival to Skippack, and to find our car had gotten stuck in the snow . Ah, vacations never last! Oh well, it's good to be home.
Visiting family is always amazing whether they live close or far away. There's nothing better than hanging out with people you love.
