Symbioses and God's Plan for Marraige

This week in Microbial Ecology, the professor spoke on the topic of Symbiotic relationships. For a bit of background, these are relationships between two distinct species in which the organisms are in direct contact with each other, and both organisms benefit from the interaction. Microbes love to interact and the relationships of this kind involving microbial species are widespread in nature. -Some key examples being Rhizobium species and Legumes, Enteric bacteria and a human's digestive system, and Methanogens in the stomachs of Ruminants.- As the professor explained how these relationships occur and evolve he stated that over evolutionary time the individual species will increasingly become reliant on one another for survival, and the interaction will become more efficient. Also, each species will have to make sacrifices for the good of the interaction.
I was blown away! This sounded like an almost perfect description of God's plan for a healthy marraige. I mean, sure, sacrifice is involved, but with time the relationship should become increasingly efficient and beneficial for both individuals, and the dependence upon one another grows to the point that the marraige is not seen as an interaction of two separate individuals seeking their own, but as a cohesive unit. As a marrige grows, and a couple seek God's will together, there are links made that nothing on earth should be able to break. I know that this sounds rather idealized, especially in this day and age, No couple is perfect right? But if we look to nature we see organisms living with this type of harmony, and the longer they live this way, the less likely they are to survive apart.
Maybe it is idealized, but I thought it was an amazing picture.
