The mighty God we serve

This past week, God has revealed himself mightily to me. He has sort-of showered me with His grace, and I wanted to praise him on the blog for what he has done.
As far as the baby goes, all is well. I passed the glucose screening test this past week, and we were able to get a beautiful used crib. I'll post pictures soon. Very exciting. It's also really cool to be in the third trimester and to continually feel the baby moving. His movements can even be felt from the outside- as Ash and Jason can attest- and that is neat!
At school, God really blessed my team's research. He gave us two very key breakthroughs this past week. Of-course, as He works, they came at the end of the week, after much sweat and actually a few tears (we are all girls on the team). The struggles to get results only makes them that much sweeter, however, and I am overwhelmed by how God works in every aspect of my life.
He is mighty and gracious.

Catoctin Mountain Park, Thurmont MD

I'm back, after a long break. I wanted to share this awesome park with you. Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, Maryland. Located right off of Route 15 this park is just down the Highway from Gettysburg and is worth the trip! The park offers hiking for various skill levels and is free admission. The kids had a lovely time creek walking along the Blue Blazes Whiskey Still trail, which is accessible from the visitor center parking lot. They were all able to become junior rangers as well. The visitor center has a history and nature display. I've never seen a beaver that close, even if it was stuffed, it was cool!  Catoctin Mountain park borders Cunningham falls state park . Lewis and Clark

It began with our being half-way through the book on the Louisiana purchase on the last day of school. Our interest was peaked and I hated to skip the books about Lewis and Clark that we did not have time to read during last school year, so... The book about the Louisiana Purchase is titled: What's the Deal Jefferson and Napoleon and the Louisiana Purchase , by Rhoda Blumberg. I would classify this book as a textbook. We read it in small portions each day. Then we read a few chapter books about Lewis and Clark and some of the other characters in the Corps of Discovery, namely, Seaman, Meriweather Lewis' Newfoundland dog.
