Hands on Summer fun!

This past weekend we visited Crayola Experience in Exton, PA, home of Crayola crayons. This trip was gifted to Tristan for his birthday from his great grandparents and he enjoyed it so much! The high tech, interactive and creative activities were a blast! The kids enjoyed naming their own crayons, making a custom markers, working with modeling clay, putting their art work on the wall through the computer projectors and creating a coloring page from our photo just to name a few things. It was a blast, I enjoyed it as much as the kids!
This week marked our final week of Summer story-time at the library. The theme was Animals. Each week, the children's librarian highlighted a different animal during story time. To end the session, The Philadelphia Zoo brought a few animal friends for us to meet. We were introduced to a mammal (Chinchilla), a reptile (Skink), a bird (Great Horned Owl), and a unique mammal (Armadillo). We were not allowed to touch the live animals, but we saw them up close and we were able to touch some animal skins and look inside an Armadillo carapace, after the presentation. It was very neat, even though Anastasia was terrified of the Great Horned Owl!
