Making house Home
One of my summer projects was painting the kids bathroom. This room went from bland to fun! We painted intentionally and then the kids helped add wall decals. It's a fun space. Even without the paint, the wall decals add interest to the space and the kids love them. Our tiger decal is below the towels, just at Gwen's level. She talks to and smiles at it each time she is in the room. Tristan and Anastasia each painted a butterfly and chose where to put it in the room. They are a sweet pair side by side, and quite the personal touch.
The most time consuming part of the project was painting the scripture verses -Psalm 104:24, Colossians 1:15-16, and Psalm 150:6. This is my favorite part of the bathroom and one way for me to follow the instruction found in Deuteronomy 6:6-7. One morning while bathing the kids I was so inspired by these scriptures and spent the whole bath time singing about the wonder of our creator. I hope these will inspire the kids as well (as soon as they learn how to read! :)
