Homemade Colonial Style
We are all about Colonial Style since our visit to Williamsburg, VA. While in Williamsburg we played with Locke's Alphabet Letter cubes, So I made a set of our own out of cardstock and we have been playing at home. The kids colored British soldiers and Colonial Militiamen and we cut them out of cardstock to form two paper doll armies. We play war with those and a wad of paper for a bomb, homemade fun!
Also, I experimented in making a pair of knickers out of church pants with a hole in the knee. By cutting the pants off at the rip, using the cuff of the pants for the bottom of the breeches and adding some button holes and a button, the effect is pretty convincing. Tristan is very excited about them.
