Today reminds me so much of Hawaii. I feel like I'm sitting in the park in Honolulu. It is simply georgeous! Even the cigarette smoke wafting over to me reminds me of HI. (people like to smoke on the beach)
Allow me to illucidate on today...
It is around 82 degrees, sunny with a breeze. I'm sitting in the Quad of West Chester University with the sun at my back. There are only wisps of clouds above that litter the baby blue sky. The grass around me is verdant with small patches of buttercups sprouting here and there. Although most trees are not showing leaves yet, the pear blossoms are jubilant in their white glory.
As people pass by me, flip-flops clacking, I hear snippets of cell phone conversations and the chit-chat of friends as they make their way to or from class. I wonder if it bothers them that my dress is being blown into a pile at my knee? or if they even notice me, sitting here in solitude?
Someone has joined me now, she is also sitting with her back to the sun. I wonder if she's thinking about the beauty of the day as well?
