Renovations

I've been thinking a lot about renovations lately because J. and I are renovating our master bathroom. My heart has also been under some major renovations lately by our Awesome Creator. I'm amazed in both cases how renovations can only happen by an initial stripping down. Before new, beautiful changes can be made, the old junk has to go. This is the difficult and frustrating part of the process. With my heart, this is always the painful part. It hurts to let go of myself and allow the spirit of the Lord to purge, but that is what it takes. The same was true of our bathroom. The new flooring couldn't go in until the carpet came out, and once we discovered that the toilet was leaking, it had to come out to, there was nothing for it. As frustrating as it was, that was the only way to make it better. Now we are 3/4's of the way finished with the bathroom, and I'm hoping to get some finished product pics. posted in the upcoming week. I think that my heart has a ways to go, but on that particular renovation, I'm in no hurry.
