Changing times and Trust

Sitting here, sipping morning cocoa and doing some devotions I realized that the Starbucks mug I am drinking out of is now an antique. Pretty exciting! I love change, especially something like this that doesn't actually change my life in any way, and unlike other changes that make me feel old, this one just makes me feel more experienced. Like I've actually lived through something. Which is silly, because I'm sure it will be one of the least memorable events as I look over my life (Princess Di passing, September 11, 2001, and the inauguration of our first biracial president), but I still got excited about it. In case you haven't seen here's the changed logo as of 2011.

Well, that has nothing to do with trust, and I need to get to that part of the post before Tristan who is in his bed right now cooing happily begins screaming impatiently.

Psalm 37. Amazing. Don't fret about evildoers just live for Christ! God will take care of the righteous and those that wait on the Lord will inherit the earth. Cease your anger, Delight in the Lord, Commit your way to the Lord and he will right all wrong and take care of all of our needs and verse 4 even goes so far as to say He will give us the desires of our hearts. Pretty awesome! I get so caught up in the petty stuff of this world. Comparisons and questions. Injustice small and large scale, fretting about the future of things. Money and politics etc. Psalm 37 is an amazing reminder to me that all I can control is my response to Jesus Christ. He will take care of the rest if I am faithful to what he has called me to be.... somehow easier said than done most days. Still encouraging. Trust in the Lord.
