We are officially a one nap family

For months I have been told that Tristan doesn't need two naps a day and that he will grow out of this stage soon. "Some toddlers don't take naps", "one nap is all a mother can ask for". As I listened politely to this commentary, my son continued to take two solid naps a day. Well, not anymore! He has officially transitioned into napping once a day for a few hours and that's it. His energy is immense! He still gets very tired and cranky in the evenings. The time between dinner and bed is often full of frustration for him, but that has always been his wiring, he is a morning person all the way. The nap situation doesn't really change that. Anyway, pretty monumental for me, because before the holidays I was spoiled by two naps. One I would share with him and one that I could do work or excercise without him under my feet. Gone are those days:) I guess I'm excited, though, because Tristan is growing up and he is such a big boy. I am proud of him.
