Thunder and Lightning and rain!
This week it started to rain. We have lived in Colorado for 8 months and it hasn't rained. It barely snowed this past winter. I was beginning to give up hope of rain here. Wednesday afternoon, after a georgeous morning, it started to thunderstorm and it rained. Hard! All afternoon. Of course, then the sun came out and I thought, what a shame, all that water will evaporate:( Then Thursday, after a sunny morning, it thunder stormed and rained again, this time it rained all night. Friday we had rain off and on. Saturday the morning was cloudy with afternoon rain and Sunday was the same. It was comical to see the neighbors sprinkler system running last night and all of the water immediately running off into the sidewalk, causing a little river down our hill. Jason enjoyed the weekend so much. We had some humidity, cool weather and relief from the blazing sun. It was so nice to have rain! Never thought I'd be the one to say that:)
July fourth was an awesome hazy day that we spent in Denver at the museum of nature and science. The children LOVED the museum! I was so shocked at how much. They were both so good! Just goes to show you that boredom is the devil's playground. They behaved beautifully even staying at the museum well into naptime. Tristan used the potty at the museum, keeping his pants dry all day! Wow. It was a great day. Of course, we could not see fireworks that evening due to the fireworks ban, but watched a benefit concert on the local tv to help victims of the Waldo Canyon fire.
