Somewhere between

This weekend we finished learning about the letter B with a morning outing to Boulder and we began our week learning about the letter C with our hike at Chautaucua recreational area, lunch at Costco and a game of Candyland. It was a fun Saturday. To sum up the letter B, it was yummy. We baked brownies and our neighbor brought over brownie bite cookies (totally coincidence). We set up a bird-feeder and by Wednesday afternoon the birds figured out where to get dinner. We observed the birds all week and read the book Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McClosky like 15 times last week. My favorite craft of the week was making hot air balloons. They consisted of a large circular piece of construction paper with holes punched all around. We threaded yarn around the circumference and then hung a square shaped piece of paper from the bottom, thus making the balloon. The kids loved flying their balloons around the house. Sunday the snow began falling and it hasn't stopped, though our accumulation is only about an inch, I am looking forward to seeing the sun again. Hopefully tomorrow!
