Our first play-date

When the alarm clock sounded this morning, I did not want to move! It felt like I hadn't slept at all. I did get up, though, and went for a jog. What a beautiful morning! I never thought I'd fade in my obsession with Pikes peak, but this morning the full moon trumped the mountain's beauty. It's like the mountain knew it was being outshined by the moon. There it hid behind the clouds as if waiting for the moon to go down, so it could come out into the limelight agiain. I had to run home and get the camera. Needless to say, I'm glad I got out of bed. We had our very first Colorado play-date with church friends today. Two little boys from Tristan's class at church, and some other moms and kids all met up at a local playground. It was a bit windy, but a good time of fellowship. We ended our day with fresh corn on the cob and grilled eggplant portabella sandwiches. Anastasia got some corn in her applesauce and then asked for the cob! So cute:)
